How does Divine|Define work?

  • Divine|Define is a tarot reading service. However, it also incorporates empirical, evidence based psychology theory in its interpretation of the cards. The tarot itself began as a symbolic allegory of human nature; it was inevitable that it would intersect with psychology eventually. In modern days, the tarot is most closely connected to Jungian psychology. Jung was a protege of Freud, and so we see the two philosophies as intrinsically linked for interpretation of the tarot.

  • Services are ordered and paid for using service codes. If a live session is not requested, a written report will be emailed with analysis of the spread.

    If a live session is requested, it will be conducted either via instant messaging or live video call through the Divine|Define discord server as per the client’s preference.

  • Scan the QR code for the tip jar. You may need to make an account, or use Paypal. This is done to ensure the privacy and anonymity of users.

  • You will have to join the Divine|Define Discord community, as this is the simplest way to either instant message or hold a videocall. These will be scheduled in advance and you can stay in the community if you choose or only use it when you are accessing services.

  • The personality assessment(s) provide in depth analysis of the querent to better inform reading of the spread. We welcome both the perspective of wanting to ensure more accurate readings as well as wishing to test the accuracy of the reader without the benefit of additional context.

  • The Unveiling is another type of reading exclusive only to DivineDefine. This reading aims to uncover and reveal hidden aspects, truths, or insights about yourself and your life history. It emphasizes deeper contexts of the subconscious and relies more heavily on empirical psychology than the tarot. The goal is to bring hidden or subconscious feelings to the surface, or shed light on aspects of life that are not readily apparent.

    The truths of an Unveiling may be harsher or harder to accept than in other readings, but this is because they are for those that are ready for deeper and clearer truths than mere guidance. The readings at DivineDefine have delved not only into the depths but into the darkness of the psyche, and reserve such truths for limited expression.

The readings provided by DivineDefine incorporate both these foundational aspect as building blocks into other disciplines of psychology to synthesize them with the tarot to increase and deepen awareness and perspective.

  • After you enroll and book your service, you will be given your very own mailbox on the DivineDefine website. Your mailbox is an individual password protected page on our website that only you and the site administrators can access. We respect your privacy and believe that readings are best done on the spiritual plane removed from your earthly identity. Your DivineDefine name should be a pseudonym that reflects your energies and current standing in your journey. You choose your own password, and your name is embedded in the webpage coding. Your mailbox will contain copies of your written readings as well as billing invoices of each service you book. Invoices contain only your username, the date, the service(s), and the amount paid.

    Every time you book a session, we will be notified and work to have your written reading completed within a specified timeframe. Please view the Learn More page for the service you seek for when you can expect your reading to be completed.

    While you may book a service and a live follow-up simultaneously, we ask that you do not book multiple different types of services at one time. It is best to have services completed one by one (digested, if chosen, with the clarification of a live follow-up) before jumping into another or more services. You will need the time to think through what your reading has interpreted, as well as incorporate your own judgment and understanding as you apply it to your personal depth of knowledge of yourself and your experiences.

  • Live clarification follow-ups can be conducted via instant messaging or videocall. Follow-up calls are capped at 20 minutes per live session. If you feel you require additional clarification, please wait 1-2 days before booking an additional follow-up for that particular reading. While certain services have a set price for follow-up appointments, you can book an additional follow-up call at any time at a flat rate of $40.

    Live sessions are conducted only on Friday and Saturday mornings from 7am to 12pm CST. Please specify your availability in one 2 hour block as well as your preference for videocall or instant messaging. You will receive confirmation of the time and date with a link for the live session in your mailbox.

  • You will create a username specific to your services at DivineDefine. We currently only accept payment via CashApp/SquareCash to ensure the privacy of both the reader and the querent. All payments to DivineDefine go through one bucket cashtag regardless of reader. We have no other need for any further identifying information - everything else we need to know is gleaned from the questions you ask and the interpretation of the spread.
